Public Access Assessment (HSD PAA)

Hope Service Dogs, Inc has released our very own Public Access Assessment. This test consists of three location visits and evaluates your service dog team.

This is not a means of certification for a Service Dog team, as Hope Service Dogs, Inc recognizes the United States Department of Justice does not require or recognize certifications for service dog/handler teams.

Instead, the purpose of this Public Access Assessment is to measure the service dog team skills and performance on a specific date and time.

All tools are allowed, as long as they are used appropriately and humanely. However, no food may be used during test.

During the test, your dog must respond to one command, without repeating. However, you can assist your dog via leash or spatial pressure if needed.

If you are interested in assessing your service dog or service dog in training, and you can come to Central Florida for evaluation, contact Hope Service Dogs, Inc to schedule your Public Access Assessment.

If you cannot make it to us for evaluation, you are welcome to use our PAA and have your trainer (or your friend) evaluate your service dog/service dog in training.

We could have keep this Assessment as “proprietary information” - a secret - but we are sharing this with the world.

We are all stronger, together.
