What Is a Started Service Dog?
A started service dog is a dog that has begun—but not yet completed—formal service dog training.
Started service dogs are often placed with owner-trainers who are prepared to continue the dog's training with guidance and support. HSD also offers professional training programs for clients who want additional help completing their dog's training.
