Let Us Honor Your Legacy

Become a member of Hope Service Dogs, Inc Legacy Society, and you will forever touch the life of someone with a disability.

You can forever touch the life of a child or adult in need of a service dog by simply including Hope Service Dogs, Inc in your will or estate plans. When you name Hope Service Dogs, Inc as a beneficiary, you will create a lasting relationship by sharing in our future and leaving a legacy of hope and joy to some very deserving people.

A charitable bequest is the simplest form of legacy giving. In your will, you can specify a particular asset, a fixed dollar amount, or designate a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after all other bequests have been fulfilled, to be given to Hope Service Dogs, Inc.

Your gift will help individuals seeking to bring a service dog into their lives to help them cope with a disability such as Dysautonomia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Diabetes, Autism or PTSD.

Charitable Bequests

A charitable bequest is simply a distribution from your estate to a charitable organization through your last will and testament. There are different kinds of bequests. For each, you must use very specific language to indicate the precise direction of your assets, and to successfully carry out your final wishes. In any charitable bequest, be sure to name the recipient accurately and include that organization’s address and federal tax identification number. In its “Declaration of Intent” Hope Service Dogs, Inc will provide you with this necessary information.

Do You Have An Estate?

Your estate is the sum of your assets, including property you own, insurance policies, retirement accounts, cash on hand, etc. Wealthy people may have very large estates, but even people who aren’t wealthy often have the resources to make a charitable bequest. If every adult in America made a will and included a bequest of just $100, billions of dollars would flow to charitable causes every year. Below, we have listed some of the more common kinds of bequests, and some bequest language. We always recommend that you carefully review the terms of your will with a professional trained in handling trusts and estates.
