The Heart of Hope Service Dogs
Our Golden Retrievers are at the heart of everything we do.
They are carefully selected for health, temperament, structure, trainability, and working ability because the dogs we breed may go on to become service dogs, therapy dogs, working companions, or beloved family members.
Every dog has an important place in the HSD family.

Our current breeding girls have completed the health testing required by HSD and have been evaluated for temperament and suitability for our breeding program.

Our retired dogs are a huge part of HSD's story.
Some produced generations of service dogs. Some became service dogs themselves. Others simply left their mark on our family and our organization.
Retirement doesn't erase their importance.
Why Our Goldens Are Different
We aren't breeding simply to produce Golden Retrievers.
We are breeding with a purpose.
Our dogs are selected and evaluated with the goal of producing healthy, stable, trainable Golden Retrievers capable of succeeding in a variety of working and companion roles.
Health testing is an essential part of our breeding program, and we use multiple evaluation methods when appropriate, including OFA and PennHIP.

Every Dog Has a Purpose
Some become service dogs.
Some become therapy dogs.

Our goal is to give every Golden the opportunity to succeed in the role that is right for them.
