Hope for the Future Scholarships
In 2022, we granted 68 scholarships , and along with sending each puppy home with the Service Dog Success online course, we also donate an online course for every puppy that participates in one of our training programs.
HSD provided training for 2 puppies and donated one of our 6-month-old program dogs an individual with a disability. We also donated another of our 6-month-old program dog to the Orange County Sheriff Department for their Victim Advocates, offering emotional support to crime victims and agency members in need. Additionally, we donated one puppy as a companion dog.
The total value of scholarships, training, and donated dogs in 2022 amounted to $123,796.
In 2021, we granted two scholarships for in-person training classes - one in January and one in April - along with the online training scholarship.
In 2020, we awarded two scholarships for in-person training classes in November.
Hope Service Dogs, Inc is proud to offer two Hope for the Future Scholarships for service dog education:
Heart & Soul Dog Training’s Service Dog Success - with Victoria Warfel ONLINE school
Heart & Soul Dog Training’s 4-Day Service Dog School - with Victoria Warfel IN PERSON school (not currently scheduled)
We grant an online school scholarship for every puppy enrolled in one of our Puppy Programs, benefiting both the puppy and another service dog candidate.
One of our goals is to provide at least two in-person school scholarships.
Please note that scholarships must be used only for the specific school applied for and are not transferable to future sessions. While applicants with HSD puppies receive priority, we encourage all interested individuals to apply.
Our scholarships are intended for service dog education and do not provide a puppy.
